Our Blue Hands: Scientific and Technical Reports

The sampling of microplastics alerts us to the problems associated with plastic degradation and accumulation on beaches around the world, particularly on islands. The development of a collaborative network to gather information about marine pollution based on citizen science brings together the dialogue between academia, local communities, and environmental management. This is a primary aim of The Our Blue Hands Project. The reports below collate the results of the Project's implementation of microplastic monitoring in different island contexts:

2. Santa Caterina, Brazil_August 2023
