In celebration of the International Day of Biological Diversity on 22 May, in 2014 themed Island Biodiverity, GLISPA alongside the Secretariat of the Convention on Biodiversity launched “Island Bright Spots in Conservation and Sustainability”. This booklet focuses on island led initiatives that are advancing conservation and sustainable livelihoods on islands globally and contributing to achieving the Aichi Biodiversity Targets.
